Cell Journalism: The use of a cellular phone to capture up to the minute breaking news from around the world. Cell journalism can occur through the submission of direct phone call, citizen reviews, citizen news reports, interviews, text messages, photographs and or video capture by cell. Cell phones are highly mobile and widely available for use in the growing citizen journalism movement.
Cell phone have been used widely in many disasters a first means of communication and reporting from the 2005 bombing of the London Underground to the execution of Saddam Hussein.
